Seisai Itō Galleries

Seisai (1846-?) authored two picture books which included pictures of flowers and (or) birds. To see these pictures click on a book's title, shown below. Typical of Japanese artists working in the late 1800s Seisai's drew his flower and bird subjects in a true-to-life way. This realistic style was then new and modern.
